Windshield Camera Calibration
ADAS systems are there for your safety and the safety of others and your vehicle that you’ve spent a lot of money on. Having an accurate camera reading is essential for the alerts to trigger the braking systems and signal your attention when an emergency arises.
We provide both Static and Dynamic Calibrations for your safety.
Static Calibration
This happens in doors where the car is parked in front of targets and the camera is calibrated based on the positioning of the targets. Vehicle remains stationary throughout.
Dynamic Calibration
This happens on the road. The technician will take the vehicle for a drive and monitor the progress of the ADAS calibration until it is complete and it functions as intended.

FAQ’s:
Q: Why does my windshield need a calibration?
A: When a windshield is replaced and the camera is disconnected, it must be recalibrated in order to be accurate and a relevant safety feature of the vehicle. The modern windshield is more than just a wind barrier, it is part of the ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) of the vehicle. This includes autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warnings, pre-collision alert, etc.
Q: Does insurance pay for my calibration?
A: Yes. It is an expectation that the windshield camera be calibrated.
Q. What safety features are present in the windshield?
LDWS: Lane Departure Warning System – this system warns the driver that they are crossing over the marked lines on highways. Often the warning is a beeping, seat vibration or an active braking or pulling of the vehicle back into position.
Steering Assist or Lane Change Assist: This safety feature actively steers the car to keep it in the correct lane or help you to change lanes.
Traffic Signal/Sign Recognition: The windshield camera reads the speed limits and signs and alerts the driver to them.
Forward Collision Alert: Uses the windshield camera or radar to give alerts to the driver of a possible accident.
Adaptive Cruise Control: This system works with the radars and camera to adjust your cruise control based on traffic.
